MANY NEW INTRODUCTIONS AT AMSTERDAM MOTOR SHOW
AutoRAI 2007 will fully live up to its catchphrase ‘It’s Showtime’: between Thursday 29 March and
Monday 9 April 2007, the expected 500,000 visitors will be able to enjoy the numerous innovations from the
Salon de Genève in Amsterdam, too.
More than 130 exhibitors, including 80 car marques, take up more than 87.000 square metres in the halls of
the Amsterdam RAI complex. For many of the cars will have their Dutch Premiere during the 2007 edition of the
biannual AutoRAI. Amongst those the BMW Hydrogen 7, a BMW M6 Cabrio and a hardtop version of the BMW 4
series cabriolet. Furthermore the first MINI Cooper Diesel, the Cadillac CTS, the Chrysler Sebring and the all
new Mercedes-Benz C-class. Ford shows their new Mondeo and the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet, Opel shows their
OPC and the new Opel GT and the all new V70 will be on display with Volvo. Last but certainly not least in this
list are the Audi A5, S5 and the R8 sportscars as well as the Dutch Premiere for the Maserati GranTurismo.
Equally interesting as the new cars on the market, there is a wide range of prototypes and concept cars on
display at the autoRAI; like the Mitsubishi Prototype X, the extraordinary Saab Aero X and the Volvo XC60.
Renault shows their vision in the Clio Grand Tour and the Nepta, while Suzuki brings the Grand Vitara Bandit
and the Ionis. Peugeot shows the 207 SW Outdoor concept and the sleek 908 RC and Jaguar brings the
astonishing CXF. Furthermore there are technology concepts by university students and under the name ECO
Village, car manufacturers, energy suppliers and other exhibitors will be presenting their vision on ecologically
and economically-sound driving.
A couple of themed display show SuperCars, Royal Class and finally Film Cars – where Herbie, Lightning
McQueen and Eleanor will play the lead role.
All-in-all a plethora of cars are on display in Amsterdam, and specially those who missed the recent Salon de
Genève will enjoy the AutoRAI which opens until Monday 9 April 2007..
