Most people are fascinated by the world of car design, both for the advanced design
shown in concept cars and for the historical roots of car styling in the art of
coachbuilding.
Everybody assumes styling is a major booster for car industry. Car design is considered
as the deciding factor for a consumer when choosing a new car. Nevertheless car
design has not been, so far, at the center of any specific autoshow opened to the public
anywhere in the world.
The exhibition will fill this space and will represent a major world first which is unrivalled
in the automotive industry.
The objectives are naturally to set up a long-lasting and official exhibition for concept
cars by establishing, at Les Invalides in Paris, the ultimate meeting place for world
automotive design, where manufacturers will unveil their latest creations in the same
way that major fashion houses present their new collections ; ranking Paris as the
capital of Automotive Design.
Serge Bellu, a Journalist of international repute and a leading expert in automotive
design, has agreed to act as Exhibition-Commissioner General.
The Executive Organising Committee will be co-presided by Antar Daouk,
President of Transaco and by the Contre-amiral Olivier Lajous commanding the
Centre d’Enseignement Supérieur de la Marine Française.
