« It was wonderful to see longstanding clients and enthusiasts come together at this anniversary sale to view
and buy special models all presented with attractive estimates. The end of this 10th edition of the sale was
an emotional moment! With iconic Ferrari, rare Lotus models, competition cars such as the incredible
Hommell Vaillante and the indispensable barnfind...this was a perfect illustration of Artcurial Motorcars'
expertise !
Although outnumbered in the sale by Italians, the delicately styled British models on offer, such the 1962
Jaguar E-Type 3.8L Coupé (lot 120), performed well. With known history and just two owners since 1973, the
Jaguar achieved double its estimate, selling for 107 300 € / 116 957 $ including premium. A highlight of the
sale was lot 121, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5, (the model that starred in the James Bond film of the same
year, Goldfinger), which sold above estimate to a European collector for 667 500 € /727 675 $ including
premium.
It was no surprise that the reputation of the Artcurial Motorcars' team was highlighted by a barnfind, another
British car, the 1948 Jaguar MK IV Cabriolet (lot 102). This magnificent automobile sold for 38 100 € / 41 529
$ including premium, double its estimate 55 000 — 25 000 €), following a lively battle between bidders in the
room and on the telephone.

racing provenance, changed hands for 369 500 € / 402 755 $ including premium, selling to an American
buyer. A superb example of the legendary rally car, the 1992 Lancia Delta Evo 1 Martini HF (lot 113) sold
above estimate for 104 900 € /114 341$ including premium. The 1976 Porsche Carrera 3.0L prepared as an
RSR 74 GR V car sold for 226 500 € / 246 885 $ including premium.

inspired by the work of comic book artist Jean Graton, achieved double its estimate, selling for 104 900 € /114
341 $ including premium.
The two ex-Italian police cars, stars of the screen and TV, both found new owners, ensuring they will continue
to attract attention. Lot 147, the 1981 Alfa Romeo Alfetta, changed hands for 13 100 € / 14 279 $ including
premium and lot 148, a 1969 Alfa Romeo Giulia TI, sold for 21 500 € / 23 435 $,
