1964 Aston Martin DB5 - Estimate €550,000 650,000 / $605,000 715,000
Known and coveted for multiple film appearances, especially « Goldfinger », one of the best known James
Bond films, the DB5 is a true legend! The car in the sale has continuous history with just three owners since
1967. Built for the 1964 Paris Motor Show, it is recorded as « Paris Show car » on the factory sheet, and is a
very rare left-hand drive example.
1999 Hommell Vaillante « Grand Défi » - Estimate €40,000 60,000 / $44,000 66,000 $
Inspired by the work of cartoonist Jean Graton, the Vaillante "Grand défi" (the Big Challenge) made its first
appearance at the Paris Motor Show in 1999. Based on the Hommell barchetta, it was designed by
Philippe-Charles Toussaint and associates to take part in the Stars Challenge, a race series for celebrities. A
total of 16 examples were built and ran during the 2000 season. The series was discontinued the following
year with just 15 cars surviving. Based on the renowned reputation of the Hommell barchetta, one of a limited
number with a design straight out of the Michel Vaillant comic strip, this is a highly attractive lot to collectors.
1981 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Berline Polizia - Estimate €15,000 20,000 / $16,500 22,000 No reserve
This example of the Giulia Ti, a model offering a great performance, is a genuine Italian police car, in rare
condition and charmingly presented complete with special equipment. At the end of its life in the Italian police
force, this car enjoyed a second career in film, starring in « Le Caïman », by Nanni Moretti, as well as the
television series « Romanzo Criminale », by Michele Placido.
1964 Alpine M64 Berlinette - Estimate €330,000 - 380,000 / $363,000 418,000
This was the last Alpine M64 produced and comes with significant racing provenance. The car made its racing
debut in the 1964 Le Mans 24 Hours, as number 46 driven by Henry Morrogh and Roger de Lageneste. Having
recorded the 36th quickest time in practice, it crossed the finish line in 17th place, winning its class and the
energy index . This Alpine is eligible for all major historic racing events.
1984 Renault 5 Turbo 2 - Estimate €50,000 70,000 / $55,000 77,000
The Renault 5 turbo is a popular Youngtimers choice. With a unique design, the car won recognition for its
performances in Group B rallying. One of just 3 167 examples built, this lot has been completely restored by
the current owner and is presented in outstanding condition. A desirable car that is hugely enjoyable to drive
and will delight all sporting enthusiasts.
