The elegant 1968 Ferrari 365 GTC Coupé was the second most valuable lot of the sale, selling for an
impressive €805,000 to a bidder in the auction room.
German marques performed strongly throughout the sale, with the 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster leading
the charge, selling for €391,000. The 2000 BMW Z8 Roadster, which had enjoyed just one owner from new,
achieved well in excess of its €180,000-240,000 pre-sale estimate when it sold for €316,000. Also exceeding
its estimate was the 1967 Porsche 911S 2.0 ‘Sunroof’ Coupé (€150,000-200,000) selling for €212,750.
British marques were well represented, with two Jaguars making the Top 10. The sleek, limited edition 1993
Jaguar XJ220 supercar caught the attention of several bidders in the room before selling for €391,000 whilst
the 1965 Jaguar E-Type ‘Series 1’ 4.2-Litre Roadster (€180,000-220,000) exceeded its estimate when it
sold for €250,700 to an auction room bidder.
