Pasquale Annunziata, originally from Sora, was the owner
of the “Saponificio Annunziata” in Ceccano, he remembers
in 2024 “I was a friend of Giorgio Scarlatti, he
introduced my request to get the new 250 GTO in 1962 to
Enzo Ferrari and finally in May 1963 i had the
confirmation that i can have a new GTO. I went to
Maranello to pick up the car and drive it back to Roma.
I use it at the beginning of the summer 1963 then my
father insisted and i sold it to car dealer and racing
driver Maurizio Grana” |

Carlo Facetti remembers in 2024 “this car was sold by
Enzo Ferrari to the industrialist family De Nora
together in package with the automotive construction
project of the ASA 1000 GT; because Ferrari don’t want
to enter officially a GTO in the same class 3L of
customers, this car become semi-official enter by the
Scuderia St.Ambroeus with factory support. The car was
very competitive, we were leading the Targa Florio 1964
untill we had gearbox issues. |
