Dino 246 F1 "P" 
Experimental mid-engined Dino, later 156 'Sharknose' Prototype
New multi-tubular Cooper style frame picking up double wishbone independent suspension. The front anti-roll bar passed through a chassis cross-member, and the rear wishbones carried cast-alloy instead of fabricated steel uprights. The standard four-cam Dino 246 engine had twin-coil and distributor ignition and was in unit with a brad new five-speed and reverse gearbox in unitwith the final drive and carrying an overhung clutch on its rear end.

- five-speed transaxle with inboard disc brakes; clutch operating system mounted on alloy casing bolted to the rear of gearbox case
