Ferrari at the
Goodwood Motor Circuit Revival Meeting
Goodwood, September 18-20, 1998
The
Revival Meeting at the Goodwood Motor Circuit
near Chichester in West Sussex, England, is
believed to feature several attractions for the
Ferrarista:
The
track, site of the Goodwood Tourist Trophy in the
1960's, will see the former Formula 1
worldchampion Damon Hill piloting Sir Anthony
Bamford's 250 GTO s/n 4399GT, the very car in
which Damon's father Graham won the
abovementioned Trophy back in 1963.
There
are rumors that there might be a total number of
five 250 GTOs attending this event, all of them
to be driven by famous names in motor racing.
Furthermore, Paul Vestey will bring his dark blue
ex-Rob Walker 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione
s/n 2119GT ("7 SPA") and hand over the
wheel to Stirling Moss. The latter was taken by
this very car to 1st in the 1960 Goodwood Tourist
Trophy.
The
address where to receive more information on this
event will be provided below. We were informed
that all attendants and visitors of the paddock
are asked to wear a jacket, shirt and tie.
