Auto heads for Spain
Peter Auto heads for the sunny
Andalusia. In close co-operation with the
Andalusian Autonomous Goverment, the RACE, the
Spanish Automobile Federation, the Andalusian
Automobile Federartion, a ofter version of the
French rally, will be organized. The Tour de
Espana Classic is dedicated to competitors who
aim for a sporting rally, but allowing spare time
to enjoy landscapes and the mild climate of
Andalusia while the North of Europe will start a
dull season.
The Tour de Espana Classic,
on the sporting side
The Tour de Espana Classic will
offer a competition and a regularity section. The
regulations are similar to the Tour Auto rules. A
maximum of 70 cars will be accepted. They must be
Grand Touring and Sports Casrs built between 1946
and 1975. The competitors are allowed to apply
for a support vehicle. The rally will include at
least two special stages a day and will propose
two sessions on the Jerez race track.
The Tour de Espana Classic,
on the socialising side
The Tour de Espana Classic will not
have to envy the Tour Auto ambience. The limited
number of entrants is more favourable to
socialise or to enjoy the friends company. The
legs length will not exceed 200 up to 300 km. The
early daily finish will leave time to visit the
city. Golf players will also be able to
participate in a golf tournament organised in
this Spanish region dedicated to this sport.
