his rotating assembly and heads. Whitlock got a
yet-unidentified engine block that had been re-stamped
1141GT, with all of the same heads, crank, rods,
pistons, etc. After the trade, Whitlock removed the
incorrect stamping. |

Note:
Up to today it is
not 100% confirmed that Jerry Robert Loman owned and/or
raced 1141GT. One of the other possible candidates
discussed is 1161GT but if Bob Grossman really entered
1161GT at Bridgehampton
in August 1960 then 1161GT is not the same car Jerry Loman
raced. The Loman TdF's additional fog lights were changed
between Marlboro'60 and Bridgehampton in May'60 from the
original small round ones to bigger rectangular ones (see
Finn p205). In August'60 the Bob Grossman TdF still had
the small round lights. For me therefore 1141GT is the
most probable candidate for Loman's TdF. Bjoern
