Barron Connor Racing enters Sportscar Racing Arena
In 2004, Barron Connor Racing will enter two Ferrari’s 575 GTC in the Sebring 12
Hours, the Le Mans 24 Hours and the four 1000 KM races that form the new Le Mans
Endurance Series.
Operating from its superb facilities in Zaandam (near Amsterdam), the team is run by
the 2002 European Ferrari 360 champion and this year’s FIA Sportscar champion
John Bosch (NL), who will share one car with Indianapolis 500 winner and former F1
driver Danny Sullivan (USA).
“The Ferrari 575 GTC is the first GT racing car built by the factory in 30 years”, John
Bosch says. “History is in the making and we are proud and pleased to be part of it.
Ferrari has built a fantastic car and their support is exceptional. We race to win, so
we are aiming high and have put together the team to achieve those goals. Barron
Connor Racing has a highly experienced team of mechanics and engineers, as well
as renowned technical partners. We are talking to numerous drivers to join me and
Danny or to drive the other car. Our official team launch is scheduled for early next
year, prior to the start of our testing program.”
Danny Sullivan says: “I am ecstatic to be given the opportunity to drive a racing Ferrari
in a proper, professional championship. To be working with the Barron Connor
Racing people is a great honour and something I am really looking forward to.”
