Maranello/Modena, 2 December 2003
The Ferrari Maserati Group has acquired the French company Charles Pozzi S.A. -
official importer of the two marques in France - and its branches. The new direct
management structure will be operative from January 2004. Andrea Castronovo,
formerly Commercial Director at Maranello, will be General Manager. Working under
him in the Commercial Department for Maserati will be Matteo Camesasca and for
Ferrari, Edwin Fenech.
Daniel Marin, President of Charles Pozzi S.A., will have the same role in the new
operation. Founded by the French driver, the company has been the official importer
since the 1960s. It has 16 sales points overseen by concessions in Paris and Lyon.
France is one of Ferrari and Maserati's traditional markets and absorbs 5% of the
two marques' production.
