Key Largo, April 20, 2002
In keeping with the tradition of holding rallies in different locations throughout Florida, the
Ferrari Owners Club Florida Region's first rally of 2002 was held in the beautiful Florida
Keys.
Hosted by Regional Coordinator David Bobé, members gathered at the Ocean Reef Club
on Key Largo where they were treated to a sunset event aboard he yachts of club
members Craig Zinn and Jose Arana the evening before the rally.
On Saturday morning, members gathered for final instructions for the rally which would
run from Key Largo to Marathon Key and then to the famous old "Seven Mile Bridge" to
Piegon Key.
Pefect weather greeted members for the rally under a perfect South Florida sunshine sky
and the glistening green/blue waters where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Gulf of Mexico.
Upon arrival in Piegon Key, members were treated to lunch by the Piegon Key Foundation
where the Ferraris were on display. The Poker Fun Rally was won by Robin Younessi
who drew the best hand driving his white Ferrari 512-TR.
Awards were presented by Ferrari Owners Club Florida Region Social Director Craig Zinn
to the 28 participants.
Those whom remained on Key Largo through Sunday were treated to a cruise aboard
Craig Zinn's yacht, the conclusion to a perfect weekend. More images and information
about the "Poker Fun Rally in the Keys" and other Ferrari Owners Club
Florida Region events may be found on the club website and in TIFOSI 5 due out in June.
